Last week Rob Jones continued our sermon series, 'Eastertide: Finding Joy in the Midst of Change'. He spoke of the promise of joy the disciples experienced as he appeared, resurrected in the upper room. He reminded us that this promise is still for us now. Trauma steals our joy, it was true for the disciples on the Road to Emmaus as much as it is for us now in these times. The challenge is to talk about our trauma and Jesus models this as he listens to the men's stories on the Road to Emmaus.
